Course design and structure

Lessons 1-3: Simple and compound sentences - and simple connectors

A focus on "basic" topics to help you build a good foundation (eg. simple sentences and basic connectors - and, or, but, yet, so, for, nor)

Lessons 4-9: Complex sentences and complex connectors

A focus on more "difficult" topics to help you make your writing more connected and advanced (eg. complex sentences and complex connectors - despite, although, due to, in order to, consequently, etc etc)

Lessons 10-12: Error correction

A focus on how to correct your own writing by looking at common sentence errors (eg. fragments, subject-verb agreement, run-ons, comma splices).

*Lesson roll-out

New lessons are "rolled out" every 3 days. This means new lessons are made available every 3 days.

This design ensures you do not simply "rush" through the material. It is important to let the contents of the course come to you bit by bit to help the course be most effective.

This means you should allow about 30 days to finish the course.

*Must watch lessons in order

You must watch the videos in order. This design forces you to get a good foundation and build your skills step-by-step. Sometimes the contents may seem "easy" - but it is important you follow this path because each lesson is supposed to be a "link in the chain".

"Sentences" helped me so much!

Before, I didn't understand how to use different connectors such as "despite", "even though", "nevertheless" and so on. Now it's super clear! And I can feel more confident when I do my IELTS test
